The idea of Sweet Harmony was a seed in Debbie Scarlett Foster’s heart for many years. Debbie was first introduced to the female a cappella sound as a young girl when her mother would teach her and her sister, harmonies while on family car trips. Over the years, Debbie enjoyed singing with numerous vocal groups, but found herself yearning to be part of creating those special women’s a cappella harmonies. As a result, in early 2004, Sweet Harmony was born!
It is obvious that the women of Sweet Harmony love to sing – more specifically, they love to harmonize! Wearing their traditional pink and purple colors, which represent breast cancer awareness and domestic violence awareness, Sweet Harmony has performed their music throughout the Bucks and Montgomery County areas, including A Woman’s Place, the Network of Victim Assistance, the American Cancer Society Relay for Life, Doylestown’s First Friday, New Hope’s Second Saturday, as well as numerous private gatherings.
The women of Sweet Harmony are active participants in Doylestown Hospital's Healing Arts Program. Sweet Harmony also supports organizations that help and empower women, so far including A Woman's Place, Dawn's Place and Laurel House.
